About the Author

I have worked with and supported many Apple systems in the past and was always surprised by the simplicity and stability of the OS X operating system, at least in comparison to seeing BSOD’s, Fatal Errors, and system crashes that persist in a Windows OS environment. Ever since Apple announced the switch to Intel based Mac’s the OSx86 community has been finding ways to for Windows computers to run Apple OSX. Whether it be from a Patched DVD, Prepatched Release, or Retail DVD, Leopard OSX can be installed on practiaclly any moderen computers. Without the original pioneers who first cracked the Leopard install and the EFI boot, this site would not exist.

Thanks for to the entire OSx86 community, all your hard work has given me the ability to make myself and you our own Open Computers.

Good luck to all with your own builds, I am here to help if anyone needs it. I setup the comments section so you do not need a membership in order to post a comment.

HI,
It was really amazing to see the idea of mac on PC as much as i know computers i think PC hardware are really tough as compared to mac hardwares, but mac sfotwares rock and is more stable. I use vista home premium vista on gateway laptop which crashed almost 3 times in just the first month of purchase. Now after almost an year or so i came across these OSX operating system, so i downloaded a copy of kalyway 10.5.1 for my AMD turion 64 mobile technology 2.2 GHz , 1 GB DDR ram and 80 GB of HDD(SSE2,SSE3). Now the problem i get is when ever i try to put DVD in system and try to run the image it sucessfully run in safe with -x -v up to a stop where it says” failed to contact root drive”. I try to put all kind of patches for AMD system, but everything just stops here and now i just gave up even trying on any other leopard OSX image. I just want to ask why i get this problem is it because of my AMD processors?HDD? Video card or it just dont wana get installed on my computer. I would really appreciate for your help.
Thanks.
Fadi.

Not sure how I can help, I did look up your CPU in the 10.5.2 HCL. Here are the notes that follows this particular processor, it is not the exact same as yours but is very similar. I would assume the same instruction would apply. Basically try the Leo4All distro and see if that works. Good Luck, keep me posted.

From OSXProject 10.5.2 HCL :

AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-50
Working with AMD fix with iDeneb v1 and Leo4All v4.1 for the HP dv6000 and some dv9000 series notebooks. Others may work as well.
